From Stilves to Reifenstein Castle
Stilves, 2.5 hrs, 8.2 km, 230 hm, Easy
This circular trail is a pleasant valley walk from Stilves to Reifenstein Castle with a view of the Wipptal valley basin.It is worth visiting the well-preserved castle complex and the nearby St. Zeno Church.
Winter hike to “Flaner Jöchl” on Monte Cavallo
Monte Cavallo, 2.00 hrs, 5.4 km, 160 hm, Easy
This winter circular trail to Flaner Jöchl on Vipiteno’s local mountain, Monte Cavallo, is an easy panoramic tour for the whole family. The groomed path leads through the snow-covered mountain and forest scenery above the Isarco valley and opens up a view of the surrounding mountains that is worth seeing. Hikers are presented with wonderful South Tyrolean winter landscapes along the way.
Winter hike to the Enzian Hut
Brennero, 3.5 hrs, 9.9 km, 642 hm, Medium difficulty
Around 1.5 km south of Brennerbad (1310 m), the paved road branches off from the Brennero-Road which we then follow to the Enzian Hut (“Enzianhütte”). After crossing under the highway we hike through the forest up to the meadows of the nearby Kreithof (1391 m), then continue through the forest slopes up to the “Ziroger Alm” (1762 m) and on the cleared path to the Enzian Hut (1894 m). Descent: On the described path either on foot (approx. 1:30 hours) or by tobbogan.
