here's a tip!

The following tour tips are available free of charge. For the rest, however, you will have to become our guest at Hotel Wieser. ;-)

Pontelletto lake

Malga Pontelletto above Le Cave,  4 hrs,  8.1 km,  780 hm,   Medium difficulty
Path 14 is a mainly steep one that takes you through the woods and past waterfalls, streams, pastures and ruins, all the way to the alpine lake (1850 m). About 15 minutes before you reach the lake, you come to the hut of the same name where you can enjoy delicious South Tyrolean dishes, sparkling juices, a nice cold blonde beer and a grappa with herbs.

Lake view tip!
Lake Pontelletto is one of the most beautiful lakes in the Alps, there is no doubt about it. It is quite a challenging route to do on foot or by e-bike, but it's well worth it!

Sunrise on the Cima di Stilves

Passo di Pennes road (below the inn),  1.00 hrs,  2.6 km,  250 hm,   Medium difficulty
The Cima di Stilves is always at its most beautiful. At 2422 m high, this giant holds everything in a mountainous embrace. It is easy to reach on path no. 14 and is therefore suitable for families, though it is also considered one of the most evocative places to be in the Upper Isarco Valley at sunrise. From up there you can see the entire valley, the side valleys, the Sarentine Alps, the Zillertal and Stubai Alps, and of course the Dolomites.

Via dei Castelli to Campo di Trens

Hotel Wieser,  4.5 hrs,  16.2 km,  470 hm,   Medium difficulty
The circular hike leads from the hotel to Trens and along the Alta Via di Trens, taking you back in time to the 13th century. Pietra Castle can only be admired from the outside, with the exception of the restaurant. Tasso Castle, on the other hand, with its majestic walls, chemins de rondes, loopholes and underground rooms, can be seen with a guide.

Panoramic tip!
The hike to Rifugio Tribulaun is demanding, but well worth it. It is in a unique natural setting and the view is amazing!
